Government Kickstart Scheme candidate gets a full-time job with Ivor King

Sean Mullis joined our team six months ago through the Government funded Kickstart Scheme, an incentive to help employers create job placements for 16-24 year olds with a goal of improving the long-term prospects of young people.
Since joining us as a Yard Operative, Sean has been learning exciting new skills through bespoke on-the-job training, taking in various operational aspects of our 10-acre yard and depot.
It’s proved to be a winner; Sean has now joined us full-time as a Trainee Welder, continuing his career development through ongoing training and mentoring. We’re delighted Sean is now a permanent member of our team and we wish him every success in his future at Ivor King.
