Behavioural Safety Awareness Training for all 23 September 2022

100+ IK employees take part in special safety stand-downs

Here at Ivor King, we encourage a positive safety culture, which is why we’re running 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 courses for all of our 100+ employees.

At times hard-hitting, the training prompts our colleagues to review their own behaviour and consider the many consequences of short-cutting safety. Accidents don’t just happen to someone else.

Across the organisation, from Yard and Site Operatives to Company Directors, employees on all levels are receiving this invaluable training, which aims to show how personal choices and actions can impact safety.

The courses are being delivered in-house over several stand-down sessions at Ivor King’s training facilities by our HSQE Manager, David Stevens. David says in the end it comes down to encouraging a culture of proactive safety. “We’re empowering people to think things through properly before they do them, and to consider not only all the knock-on effects of when it goes wrong, but also the many benefits a positive attitude towards safety can bring, including reduced accident and injury rates.”
