The collaborative approach and a dedication to raising standards
We’re proud to share recent feedback from Fox Engineering Safety & Compliance following their extensive LOLER examinations across our lifting equipment and accessories.
Over a number of weeks, their team carried out detailed inspections on more than 1,100 assets across our lifting tackle and crane fleet. Their observations highlighted not only the condition of our equipment, but also the high standards of organisation, housekeeping, and proactive maintenance that underpin our operations.
This recognition means a great deal to us. At Ivor King – The Piling People, we believe that professionalism and safety are not simply processes; they are part of our culture. Every asset we maintain and every system we follow reflects the dedication of our people, who take genuine pride in their work and understand the importance of doing things properly.
Fabulous Feedback
The feedback from Fox Engineering reinforces something we’ve always known: when equipment is cared for, stored correctly, and maintained proactively, it leads to safer, more efficient lifting operations. More importantly, it reduces risk and ensures that our teams and partners can work with confidence every day.
We would also like to acknowledge the collaborative approach taken throughout the project. Working alongside a team that shares our values around safety and engineering excellence made the process both efficient and rewarding.
A special mention goes to Ernie Sparrow, our Lifting Stores Supervisor, whose organisation, knowledge, and support during the inspections were instrumental. His contribution is a reflection of the expertise and commitment we are proud to have across our business.

We extend our thanks to Fox Engineering Safety & Compliance for their professionalism and for recognising the standards we strive to uphold. This kind of partnership is invaluable in helping us continuously improve and maintain the highest levels of safety and reliability.
As we move forward, we remain committed to setting the benchmark for lifting equipment management—ensuring our operations are safe, our equipment is fit for purpose, and our people continue to lead by example.
It’s always a pleasure working with companies that genuinely invest in looking after their equipment rather than simply aiming to meet the minimum compliance requirements.
Carrying out these inspections for Ivor King has been a great example of what good maintenance, organisation and housekeeping look like in practice. When equipment is cared for properly, inspections are more efficient, downtime is reduced, and, most importantly, people stay safe.
Thanks to the whole team for their professionalism throughout. Looking forward to working together again.
