Building on Our RoSPA Gold Success 22 October 2026

Ivor King has entered the RoSPA Awards 2027, building on two consecutive years of Gold Award success and reinforcing our ongoing commitment to health, safety and wellbeing.

Following Gold Awards in both 2025 and 2026, we’re pleased to confirm our entry into the 2027 RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, continuing our focus on maintaining high standards and finding ways to improve how we work.

For more than 70 years, the RoSPA Awards have recognised organisations demonstrating a commitment to preventing accidents, protecting people and promoting health and safety in the workplace. For Ivor King, entering the awards again is an opportunity to reflect on the progress we’ve made while continuing to look for ways to strengthen our approach.

Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility

At Ivor King, health and safety is about much more than policies, procedures and compliance. It’s about the decisions we make every day, the standards we maintain and the responsibility we all share for looking after ourselves and those around us.

Our Stop, Think, Act initiative remains central to this approach, encouraging our people to pause, assess the situation and consider potential risks before taking action. By making safety an active part of everyday decision-making, we aim to identify hazards, prevent incidents and ensure that everyone understands the importance of working safely.

We also recognise the value of reporting near-misses and learning from experience. Sharing information and addressing potential risks helps us identify opportunities to improve, rather than waiting for something to go wrong.

Continual Improvement

Achieving RoSPA Gold in consecutive years is an important milestone, but maintaining and building on those standards requires ongoing commitment across the business.

From our piling operations to our plant, equipment and and transport fleet, we continue to focus on safe working practices, effective planning and the consistent application of our procedures. We want health and safety to be embedded in everything we do, supported by a culture in which people feel responsible for raising concerns, sharing knowledge and challenging unsafe practices.

As Ivor King’s Head of HSEQ, Stuart Heather, explains:

“We continue to build on our previous RoSPA Gold success through continual improvement, making our Stop, Think, Act initiative an integral part of our culture and raising the bar for health, safety and wellbeing at work.”

Looking Ahead to 2027

Our entry into the RoSPA Awards 2027 reflects our determination to keep moving forward, and building on what we’ve achieved, while continuing to develop our approach to health, safety and wellbeing.

Ultimately, success is measured by more than awards. It’s about creating a working environment where people look out for one another, risks are managed effectively and everyone can go home safely at the end of the day.

That commitment belongs to everyone at Ivor King, and we’ll continue working together to maintain and improve the standards that underpin our business.
