Case Study
Project: British Waterways Board
Contractor: Galliford
Site: Knypersley Reservoir, Stoke on Trent
Equipment: 2 Cranes, an Excavator, a Vibro, Pontoons and a Tug Boat.
The job was to create a solution to enable access to a blocked reservoir outfall.
The installation point was not accessible by land so we:
- Formed a landing stage for access to the reservoir.
- Crossed 500m across the reservoir using pontoons and a tug boat.
- Formed a cofferdam around the blocked outfall to enable access for repair, maintenance and clearance of the culvert in 8 metres depth of water. (pictures below)
